Hey, awesome nerds! Welcome to my fourth and final day hosting a prompt for Bookending Winter, created by Clo over at Book Dragons. Please take a moment to pop over and say hi to her, because she rocks!
Hosting prompts has been so much fun. Please feel free to let me know if you liked my prompts, or anything I can do better for the next Bookending event I decide to host!
Saturnalia
Dedicated to the Roman god Saturn, the ancient Roman festival of Saturnalia is thought to be the direct precursor to today’s Christmas celebrations.
All school and business was halted, slaves were given temporary freedom, and certain moral standards were relaxed. In many households, a Lord of Misrule was crowned, a sort of mock king, and he would lead the revelry. This Lord of Misrule was very often a lower member of the household.
You can read more about Saturnalia here.
Lord, Lady, or Liege of Misrule
Tell me about a secondary character you want to party with. It can be whatever type of party you want – whether it is a subdued dinner party, an extravagant costume ball, or a raucous bash. Crown your own Lord, Lady, or Liege (gender-neutral) of Misrule!
My Picks
The Weasley twins from Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling
I feel like Fred and George would be the perfect pair to entrust with planning a birthday party. They would make sure all the right people were there, take care of all the food and drinks, and fun would definitely be had by everyone!
The Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll
I can’t be the only one who wants to attend that crazy tea party, can I?
Iko from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
I think that Iko would throw a low key, but super fun party. She would be sensitive to the needs of her guests and would be a great hostess! ♥

So, who do you want to party with? Comment below or make your own post and tell me ALL about it! Don’t forget when talking about Bookending Winter on social media to use the hashtag #bkendingwin2018
Sam @ Fictionally Sam takes over prompt hosting tomorrow, with her first prompt: The Grinch who Stole… Books? so be sure to head over there to continue the Bookending Winter fun!
Stay bookish, lovelies! ♥
I love this idea! Sounds like a blast with the Weasley twins too!
