Mini-Update: Book Sale

April 21, 2012     The Bluestocking Bookworm     Books, Reading

Well, the book sale was slightly disappointing. I didn’t get the last Outlander book I need. There was only one table of Fantasy (compared to the usual 4-5) and overall, I didn’t find books I was actively LOOKING for. Rather I found books that randomly looked good. Also, I found book 1 and book 3 of an Anne Bishop trilogy I have been wanting to read for forever, and I couldn’t find book 2. I almost cried.

THE LIST:

Daughter of the Blood by Anne Bishop
Queen of the Darkness by Anne Bishop
The Three Sisters by Jane Routley (according to Goodreads. The author’s name on the book cover is Rebecca Locksley)
Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut
The Sorcerers’ Plague by David B. Coe
The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula K. Le Guin
Many Waters by Madeleine L’Engle
Shapechanger’s Song, Chronicles of the Cheysuli Omnibus One by Jennifer Roberson
Push by Sapphire
Some collected works of H.G. Wells
Fire Bringer by David Clement-Davies
Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson
Empress by Karen Miller
The Riven Kingdom by Karen Miller
The Baker’s Boy by J.V. Jones
FlashForward by Robert J. Sawyer
The Wayfarer Redemption by Sara Douglass
Still Alice by Lisa Genova
His Majesty’s Dragon by Naomi Novik
Ill Wind by Rachel Caine
Heat Stroke by Rachel Caine

Phew. Goodreads updated. My arms feel like they are going to fall out of their sockets from hauling said books around all morning.

Here is your written permission to go buy some used books today!

!!!! I’m excited for you to read the Dark Jewel series! I hope you like it 😀
Also, I’ve been wanting to read Snow Crash and Ill Wind for a while now

  2. I pestered the people at the book sale SO much to try and find the darn second book! I even ducked under the tables when (I thought) they weren’t looking and scouted through some of the opened-but-not-emptied boxes of books. That got me two minor chidings. One for doing something I wasn’t supposed to be. And one for not being able to find what I was looking for.

I will be going back when I am back from my trip to see if I can find it. FINGERS CROSSED!

Talk bookish to me!
